When you visit your Madison dentist for a routine cleaning and exam, you’re probably hoping your teeth are free from decay and that you don’t need any additional treatments. But what you might not be thinking about is your gum health.

Millions of Americans have periodontal disease, and without proper treatment, this dangerous infection can eventually lead to tooth loss.

At Talbert Family Dentistry, we offer a periodontal membership plan so you can get the care your smile deserves.

What is Periodontal Maintenance?

We recommend a periodontal maintenance program for patients with gum disease; these deep, more frequent cleanings remove harmful bacteria from periodontal pockets and can decrease your risk of more advanced gum disease and other health issues.

You’ll visit us every three months for a deep cleaning; during these visits, we can monitor your oral health and offer brushing and flossing tips to use at home.

Why Four Cleanings a Year?

There are several reasons why you should visit us four times a year, including the following:

  • To keep harmful bacteria from returning
  • To decrease your chances of bone loss
  • To help you avoid further health issues
  • To monitor your healing and provide helpful tips

Benefits of the Periodontal Membership Plan

For our patients who don’t have dental insurance, we offer an In-House Periodontal Plan for $700 a year that you can renew annually for $600.

Once you enroll, the plan covers the four periodontal maintenance cleanings and all x-rays and exams.

It also includes the following:

  • Two fluoride treatments
  • Two emergency exams
  • Oral cancer screenings
  • Intraoral camera exam
  • Free Invisalign consultation
  • 15% off most dental treatments — This 15% applies toward the initial deep cleaning, which isn’t covered by the periodontal membership plan.
